Who We Are

<<RGB>> is a small FC for the artist community of Siren, as well as those who can appreciate the arts. It was founded by a handful of both hobbyist and professional artists and animators to create a welcoming, comfortable space where artists and fans can connect with others while sharing their craft with people who also get the pains and joys of the creative battle.As a Free Company, we value helping our members and sharing our knowledge! We take our mistakes and laugh them off, and emphasize that they are learning opportunities above all else, while also embracing the chaotic nature that this brings. This is a game, after all, and gaming should be fun! :)

What We Do

As both an artist and gamer community, our activities will also encompass both aspects! Aside from playing together, we also run occasional creative activities! If you're playing your way through MSQ, we're happy to jump in and help you on your duties! Working on a new art piece and can't decide how to light it? We'll help you with that too! We operate comfortably with each other; ask-and-ye-shall-receive when it comes to helping each other out. <<RGB>> is a casual group, but that doesn't mean we don't strive to learn and improve while sharing knowledge with each other!Our calendar events can range from getting informal groups together to unlock, learn, and/or clear both normal and high-end content, mount farming, and treasure maps to art parties, meetups, and (an FC favorite) Create & Chill days, where we sit in Discord, vibe, and work on our creative projects together. There are no requirements to attend anything that the FC is hosting, and we're generally flexible, so drop in and out as you need to. There are no penalties just because you have a life offline!The individual interests of our members vary across the board! We have some who love glams and Gpose, some who are raiders with their own statics, some who are crafters, gatherers, and moneymakers, and even some fans of world lore and RP! What you'll find consistently is a group of people who are nice to hang out with and happy to help when they can!

How We're Structured

Since we're small and keeping it that way, there's no serious business hierarchy with strict requirements for moving through ranks. Everyone deserves to feel welcome and like a valid part of the FC, whether they've been with us from the start or they're freshly joined. There is a probationary period, just to make sure we're good fits for each other, but your membership status will be upgraded just by hanging around and being a chill person to be with.We have a team--three co-leaders and a mod--that keeps things from running completely off the rails and who try to organize events/activities, but we always encourage doing things together and relying on your fellow FC mates for help or for company.

Where To Find Us

Our cozy cottage is conveniently located in Empyreum ward 11, plot 27, right by the aetheryte under the hot spring baths. We have a stable for chocobos, and we're slowly making our way towards Thavnairian Onions and chocobo coloring food.

What's With the Bagel References?

That stems from our early foundations! RGB's acronym was in place from the start to allude to both the digital arts and the displays we play on, but finding a full name was much trickier! Born of a bit of silliness and a lot of indecision, RGB has stood for a few things, from Rad Gamer Buds to Really Good Bagels--our current Discord server title. The bread and bagels came up in there and have stuck around since!

FC Rules

Rules apply to members as well as our guests! We are very casual and easy-going, but that does not mean we will let belligerence and rudeness go without consequence.RULES
1. Be a good person. That means treating everyone with respect and kindness. Don't be rude. You don't like someone's opinion/belief? Behave like an adult, agree to disagree, and keep unnecessary comments to yourself. We aim to keep this a friendly and safe space; please keep in mind that we have no room for bullies, jerks, and hatred here. If you have a problem with that, this is not the right FC for you.2. Avoid spoilers in public chats/spaces. We have members who prefer to approach everything completely blind, and we ask everyone to respect that in FC spaces! Be aware of who is around you when naming specific characters, dungeons, locales/zones, bosses, and mechanics in general discussions. Character deaths, plot twists, surprise reveals, endings, and other major content spoilers should be left out of general public discussion spaces and left to private chats or our Discord's designated spoiler channel. Even though you might not feel like it's a big spoiler, someone else could. Please be mindful when others are around you! Malicious story-spoiling is intentional rudeness and can ruin someone else's experience; this violates rule 1.3. Avoid trash talking people. We understand that it can be frustrating if someone is struggling with a mechanic/causing some party wipes, and sometimes you might have a rough day. While we encourage you to feel comfortable talking about your problems, be respectful of others. Refer to rule 1, and be nice.4. Keep it PG-13ish. Explicit and gory content should be kept off any and all FC spaces. We're happy for you if you enjoy your latest ERP, but this is not the place to discuss it. If sharing work with artistic nudity (a bunch of us went to art school, we get it), please use spoiler tags out of respect for other people who may check Discord in public or professional spaces. We generally don't mind cursing, but if someone asks you not tone it down, please respect that while you're in conversation together. The game is rated T (in NA anyway), so keep your posts at that level.5. Don't beg anyone for free art, to do a trade, or to give you a commission slot. Respect all the artists here and their boundaries for what they choose to create.6. Understand that these rules can change, but mod decisions are final. If we have decided that your behavior indicates you're not a good fit for the FC, we will kick you! Please don't make us! It's not something we want to do! We will always do our best to be fair and reasonable, so as long as you're respectful and considerate of the rules, there should be no issues.
